How to watermark an image
- 1
Add one or more images using the box above, or paste them with Ctrl+V.
- 2
In the Watermark tab, type your text or choose a logo, then set the colour, opacity, size and angle.
- 3
Pick a spot on the 3 × 3 grid or choose "Tiled" to repeat the watermark across the image, then download. With several images, download them all as a ZIP.
Protect and brand your photos
A watermark shows who a photo belongs to and makes it harder to reuse without permission. Photographers sign their work, shops brand product pictures, and many people mark ID or document scans with “COPY” or “CONFIDENTIAL” before sending them.
Use a short text such as your name, website or a © notice, or your own logo. A low opacity keeps the photo easy to see while the watermark stays readable; a diagonal angle across the middle is the hardest to crop away.
Once in a corner, or across the whole image
Place a single watermark in any of nine spots, such as the bottom-right corner for a discreet signature or the centre for a bold stamp. Choose “Tiled” to repeat it in staggered rows over the entire picture, which is the best protection for previews and document copies.
The size is set as a share of the image width, so the same settings look right on every photo, whatever its resolution.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my logo as a watermark?
Yes. Choose "Logo" and pick a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG file. A PNG with a transparent background looks best; for a logo on a white background, tick "Make white background transparent".
Can I watermark many photos at once?
Yes. Add as many images as you like. With "Same settings for all images" on, the watermark is applied to every image, and "Download all" saves them as one ZIP file.
How do I cover the whole photo?
Choose "Tiled" under Position. The watermark repeats in staggered rows across the image, and the Spacing slider sets how close the copies are.
Is my photo or logo uploaded?
No. The watermark is drawn in your browser, and neither the photos nor the logo leave your device.
Which formats can I save as?
The image keeps its format (JPG, PNG or WebP) unless you pick another one in the Convert tab, where PDF is also available. You can also resize, crop and compress in the same editor.
